Im just starting out at free diving and was wodering if the Cressi Gara 3000 fins would be a good purchase. It would be great if you could give me your opinion on them.
Thanks

G'day Mate,
You wouldn't be on of the guys that came in Aquability today would you?

I've got a set of Gara 3000s myself. They are very nice fins.
But they have narrow foot pockets. So if you have fat or wide feet like me they may be uncomfortable. They are not unbearable, I can dive for a few hours with them and its fine but every now and then they can be uncomfortable.

If you do have wide feet have a look at the OMER Millenniums.

Cheers,
Sam.

In my opinion, the Gara 3000 LD are the best beginner-fins. If they fit you, go for them. I love mine. Even today, as I own a pair of C4 81 VGR.
The Gara 3000 LD are durable, they look good and they´re not to hard. I used them in the baltic sea at 14-15° C, in the mediterranean at 20-22° C and in the red sea at temperatures up to 28° C. The work well in all the conditions.

Haha yeah mate its Jack
Saw two port jacksons on the trip yesterday, was awesome
The Gara 3000s sound good as i dont have very wide feet
How much would i be looking to spend on them?
Thanks

Not sure about how much they would be. We can get them at Aquability for you or have a shop around online. But you should get the sizing right first. If your gonna come snorkelling this Saturday I'll bring mine and you can take them for a dive. It will give you an idea of size aswell.

Cheers,
Sam.

ANY FINS! because it's not about the fins! this sport is so beautiful You can do it even without the fins. So don't go overboard

If You don't mind used equipment find cheap used fins as long as they're long blade. Cressi Gara 2000, 3000 doesn't matter, they all good. Soft, hard, how can You know at this point what works for You best?

What You need now is to find buddy, read forum and gather knowledge or best - join freediving course. SAFETY is the most important subject for You now, You don't want to leave this world wearing fancy fins, do You?

Soon You'll see if You enjoy the silent world, most likely You will be hooked and become fanatic like most of THEM guys here:)

Then You start worry how to pay for those C4's or custom mono with Your own name on it
