Im brand new at freediving and am wondering what would be the best fin for me.im only 14 so yeah.i already have a pair of bi fins from u.s. diver.any ideas?im also wondering if the lunocet is worth its performance in cash.meaning is it worth it.thanks for any posts.

Hi LakeDiver95,

For the latest chatter on the Lunocet, check out the forum thread: http://forums.deeperblue.com/monofins/86865-new-lunocet.html. From what I hear, it still is not working all that great from a performance standpoint. I don't know of anyone who has tried it, who is recommending it for freediving.

There are several threds in this forum that discuss this topic of 'what's the best first monofin for a beginner'. Most often, I hear recommendations for either a WW Nemo, or a Model 1 for beginners. The Nemo because it is comfortable, and the Model 1 because it is the least expensive way to get into a monofin that you can use to learn proper technique, which is very important to successfully implementing a a monofin of any type.

Hope this helps.
