looking for a beginner gun for freshwater hunting.
Going after striped bass 5-20 lbs approx in 20-40 ft of water.
Need recommendations- what do you have for sale!?

Thanks!

Depending on your typical water vis, you may want to go with a Rob Allen 90cm or 100cm for your first gun. Excellent quality, built rugged, and shoot like a laser.

naples, thanks for the the tip- I hear that rob allen guns are excellent- and pricey. Is there something a little more affordable? Im not hunting huge fish but I will need to make a long shot once in awhile. Im used to shooting a 6 foot long all wood gun with a really long narrow spear and a pretty good reach. Its a native palaun style- south pacific.
I have access to teak, mahog, time and good parts but for now I need something quick for an upcoming trip to lake powell.
I'd like something with a good reach, but more manueverable and not too expensive.

thanks everyone!
