beginner spearo from seals after some help

hey guys i just started out in the spearo league.
i dive at seal rocks but im always in newcastle during the week for work, ive got some alright gear for me right now but i guess i just wanted some basics really...

ive been a surfer all my life so im pretty comfortable with the water just not so much around the cliff faces hah

i just want to know some info on:
breathe training in pools,
safe conditions,
safety to do with sharks,
working on my technique,
and maybe find someone who can show me the ropes to also help with confidence, if anyone comes to the area who i can dive with???
