What do you think about the idea of adding compression to the limbs by fx using a very tight suit or under-suit, tight around the arms and legs only? Would it be an advantagel in freediving? As a way to make a mechanical vasoconstriction right from the start?

What could the pro's and con's be?

Those have about the same compression as other tri suits, subject to sizing of course. I think to have a real effect you'd need something verrrrry tight.

i would think the main benefit of some compression would be aqua dynamics, not sure i would want a suit so tight as to cause vasoconstriction, if thats the goal why not just take a vasoconstrictor?

I think there is something to the idea. I've got a good static, a bad dynamic, and a reasonable Constant Weight... I notice that deep diving goes better for me then dynamic, with more lactic acid. So I recognise the water pressure maybe helpful.

ThomasB that's a very interesting suit, also for other reasons than the compression :)

Monkeyhatfork wich vasoconstrictor are you thinking of, and would it be legal (as in no doping).

Surgical tubing!!! Harsch!! ha ha...

Mullins in it's extreme form four tight rubberbands around the arms and legs should do the job... Especially in the dynamic disciplines... oooooh the lactic that would build up!!!

Kars that's easy peasy: Just do your statics in a 40m deep pool...... :) wait a minute.... DOOOOOOOOH!!!
