Hey everyone I am new to this site and this is my 2nd post. I currently have a cressi sub comanche 110cm and want to add another gun. I live in palm beach county florida, and will be going off the beach, and offshore(in 50ft deep water at most, because I am a rookie spearfishman and freediver).

I have researched a lot and have come up with 2 main brands of guns that are in my price range: Rob Allen & Mako. I am willing too spend 280$ at most.

I do not know enough about the floridian fishes in 15-50ft water, but I am almost positive I will not be shooting large fish at first unless given the opportunity.

Can anyone give me some information on either company or on the railgun topic in general?

110cm-130cm railgun I shoot 110 and 130 Rabitechs...love them dearly :)

The one you have now is ok for the type conditions you describe, if you upgrade to bigger gun above 125 2 bands etc. anyone of the two guns you mention will be around the $$$ you have budgeted, I'd go with an RA over Mako, but they are both good guns, Rabitech IMO just the same thing with a different name & $$$

also check out aimrite. very beefy carbon with two bands. makes pinpoint shots at 9-15 ft. i have rob allen but never used robitech. aimrites are in the same line but i think they are just a bit better.

i used to live and dive florida coast with the longfins.org

I use a 110cm mako railgun. Dbl 16mm bands 24in and a dbl wrap shooting line. 25- 28ft shooting range with good penetration. Why waste your money on another gun if you already have a great gun in the 110cm mako. Just upgrade with band thickness and lengths.
