Hi

im thinking of buying a best hunter okipa 2 board. Anyone use one these floats? Do they move through the water easily as it looks like quite large? I have an Omer atoll at present but need more room for gear. One other thing, On my omer, you cant strap anything heavy to the top or it rolls over which is why i assume the guns are strapped to the underside. On the okipa the guns are strapped on top on either side of the floats. Im wondering if only one gun is on top , would the buoy lean to one side and possibly roll over? Gun weight would be around 3kg (wooden).

Cant seem to find any website for best hunter. Any ideas? Any other suggestions for this size/type of float?

Very similiar to the dive hunter mate.

the dive hunter as an awesome dive float I use mine mainly for long distance shore dives as you can carry loads on them and they tow really well behind you.

My DH has never flipped over so I would imagine the one you looking at will be no problem

Hmm , the sevylor site is not very helpful . Have a look at the db shop (top of page ) , they have the Dive Hunter and the Okipa side-by-side , so you can compare . Like Scott I own a Dive Hunter , haven't had a chance to use it much but it seems like a top bit of kit .

Regards ,
Dave .

Cheers for the info. So far so good. Glad it wont flip but there doesnt appear to be a flag with it. Is this correct? Guess you have to fit your own then. Does it come with a float line? Other than that Im convinced.

Hi Dan , no flag with the Dive hunter , don't know about the others , it does have a pole holder for one though .

Dave .

Ok thanks for that devondave. Might go ahead and buy one. Cheapest Ive seen is 64 eros on diveinn. Does that sound about right. Anyone in UK do them?

Checked out sevelyor site and they only seem to do the large four chamber model and this looks a bit different to the best hunter i have seen. Must be two different companies using same ''best hunter'' name.

The black Divehunter , red Divehunter with less attachment points and the Okipa 2 are all made by Sevylor and are called best hunter . I think the red one and the Okipa both come with a flag . 64 euros doesn't sound too bad , put it in to google , see what comes up .
If you stick okipa in to the db search button there maybe some better info' on them for you .

Regards ,
Dave .

Got it wrong. 160 euros including shupping to malta from diveinn scuabstore. Dont thing I'll be going with them. Still looking for other retailers. Thanks for all the info so far.

Hi Dan, this is where I bought it a year ago and the price still the same (119) much better than the okipa, fast on the water strong materials and you can load it as much you like it also feature a see-through window. highly raccomended......and is from UK so the shipping charge are very good.
