I'm thinking of taking the intermediate PFI course. I live in Southern California, but would like to go somewhere new (plus Malibu is full). Between Monterey, Kona, and Miami which location would you all recommend?

If it weren't for the money I would switch to Kona. I checked this morning and by adjusting the dates a bit I could round trip OC to Kona for under $450 on Aloha. Talk to Lungfish (on this board) about places to stay.

But if I did Kona then I would probably be disappointed in local diving. I'm probably better learning in local waters. I'm doing the June 3-6 intermediate class.

I have done 2 PFI courses in Kona and they are awesome.

I am signed up for the October class in Kona and I can't wait.

I heard that once you take the course you can take the same course again for free?

I took the PFi course in Kona, it is great. So great that I moved here and live just around the corner....most of my journal entries are from this area.
