Hi all,

I have recently started freediving (completed my AIDA** in October in Playa del Carmen, with Julien - who was great - http://www.freediveplayadelcarmen.com/aboutus/julien-en.html).

I live in London, and whilst I can do some training in the pool, I'm really yearning to get back out into the open water as soon as possible. The only problem is that swimming in the English Channel in December isn't my idea of a good time, so I'm resigned to waiting until the weather in Europe is at least a bit warmer!

Given that I'm not entirely comfortable with the situation in Sharm at the moment, I wondered where people recommend for freediving in Europe, and if there are particular schools/instructors who have good reputations? It would be good to be able to take a short flight somewhere and spend the weekend freediving!

Thanks,
Craig.

I know the waters around Tenerif are quite warm and clear this time of year. Freedive international is also located there. I was planning to go there this Januari. But it was quite tricky to get some days off.

I spoke with Linda Paganelliinfo@freediveinternational.com

Thanks for the advice! I'll take a look at them and will get in touch with Linda. I'm also going to check out Stavros at Free Dive Club Greece - http://www.freediving-club.gr/en/

Hi Craig,

I am not sure if you already had your trip, but I will go the 25th of February to Tenerif for some freediving with Freedive International. Water should be around 17-18 degrees and forecast is looking quite sunny. I will keep let you know how it went.
