I have lots of old snorkels by cressi , scubapro etc ,all with purge valves/that all leak.
I don't purge underwater because of the racket it makes, but they all let in water ,which causes a gurgle ,whish is very very annoying .
So whats the best snorkel for surface spearing ?

Recommendations please before I crack up,thanks.

Arrow.

I just use a tube no bells or whistles two cheapos by seac.

Cressi America, have used them for years, last one I bought was about £8.00 I think!!!

cressi america was my fav... until I used the LBS snorkel from camanuwhgear.com

AWESOME!

No frills (ie no purge valve etc) and a comfortable fit in the mouth. I've had a few snorkels and some feel great, others are clearly built for alien mouths. Trouble is you can't test them(!) so just make sure the mouthpiece looks like one you're happy with.

My more expensive one only lasted 1 season and stared leaking making loads of noise when I breathed, ended up using a cheapo one from Argos that the misses had.. works a treat with no leaks..
