We are in the process of filming a spearfishing video. Actually, we have already filmed 6 different trips to the bahamas, a trip to the Florida keys, and some diving around south florida. The reason we have not released it yet is because we feel it needs to be 30-45 minutes long and be full of action. I have purchased some videos in the past(I won't mention the titles) and I was extremely disapointed. I would spend $30+ shipping, get the video, pop it in the VCR, and it would only be 15 minutes long with three fish actually shot on video. While these were very nice fish, I was ecpecting much more. Anyone interested in participating in a video, you can contact us through www.headhunterspearfishing.com. There is also a very short little video trailer.

There is a new video out in hawaii called epic. It features Gene higa as well as Jason Hijirida. It also has some up and comming divers from hawaii as well. I have not yet seen the video but will be purchasing it when I go home for christmas. I have heard alot of good things about this video from people back home.
I believe it is entirely based on the island of oahu.

Ordered it a bit ago, hope Sterling finally got it out in the mail :(

Legends of the blue with bradda Ayau is a pretty mean vid. All local big island action, this guy is freakin accurate, all head shots with a lot of stone shots. All kines of fish from kumu to big boy uluas. Also the reef and beyond is pretty good. Only local vids that Ive seen. Epic sounds goood, can't wait.

EPIC is a awesome video well put together good action and techniques on hunting the fish from the hawaiian islands, I would definetely recommend this video. Gene Higa 10 foot three prong is awesome also :)

You can order it www.hawaiiskindiver.net

I'm looking for the 2 dapiran CD's on Aspetto dynamico al Dentice, I've found them in VHS format but I'm looking for VCD eihter DVD?

Does anyone know where to buy/find them?

Cheers

CECE. I have them in VHS abd am trying to get them converted to VCD. THey are the best dentex videos on the market by far. Have you seen Aguatto Profondo by Dapiran? THe best video ever!!!!!!

You' re right shaneshac

agguatto profondo is the best DVD ever. I've most of the dapiran collection except those 2 ...on the dentex.

Anyway I guess I've to deal with the VHS format !

Jeff06 -> fr::Boff, pas terrible...meme si les poissons sont gros..
uk:: Not as good as you sid, even if you can see very big fish

I bought Blue Water Dreaming-Southern Moz yesterday.
i havent ever seen a spearfishing video, so its hard to really comment, but its not as good as i hoped it would be, partly because most of the shots are too far away to actually see the fish that's being lined up, except that wahoo that just diss-a-pears in a trail of bubbles!

still some amazing shots. i've watched it 5 times already!

sup
I got the Epic video when I was back at home. This video is nuts. All the guys on the video are awesome. travis is awesome showing off his skills at 80 ft. A lot of stone shots with unreal techniques and patience.
I would recomend this video to anyone. This video insipires me to become a better diver being able to see divers using techniques while laying on the bottom rather than just divebombing all the time.

Wendall Saso's videos are the bomb!(Visions of Blue and Searching) great bluewater action, good cuts and no cheesey porn soundtrack.

I also have Gunslingers of the Blue Frontier and its decent as well as one called Granted...got them from pirate scuba

Pipin's videos SUCK

Best blue water video: Freediving the Revillagigedos. Awesome Ahi, Ono, and lots of sharks. The closing scene of Greg Pickering stoning a 200 pound Ahi will get any spearo jumping off of the sofa. Best reef video: Legends of the Blue. Ulua, Uku, couple of blue water clips and lots of deep dives. Epic was okay but I was kinda hoping for more big fish. Best all around was proabably Spearfishing in the Coral Sea. Good reef action, doggies, baracudas, sharks. Fun to watch. Actually all of them are good it just depends on what you are looking for. Just my thoughts.

Brad

Coral sea video was good one, but i did not understand when they shoot tha huge trevervally:confused: They only showed it while taking boat.:hmm

Yeah, too bad there wasn't any footage of them shooting it. Still a nice fish though.

Brad

My favorite is an old (5+ years old) Picasso movie shot in Spain. Great for all who want to improve their technique in reef spearfishing. Huge snappers, great approaches to caves, quite deep dives (100 feet)...

No better movies than this one. You dont have to learn spanish. Just watch and learn!

gunslingers...mostly Baja stuff. Many yellowtail, a couple amberjack, one yellowfin tuna, a couple of bottom fish, and a couple of different fish Im not familiar with.

YES!!!

I manage to find both VHS from Dapiran: ASPETTO DINAMICO AL DENTICE..

They are beautiful even if I do not understand a word of Italian!!!
