I just got on Scubastore and it looks like they are not shipping Beuchat to the US anymore, WHAT? Does anyone have info on this? I had a feeling I should have gotten another suit for the killer prices because those days might be gone.

So here is the reply from Scubastore:

Hello sir,

Thank you for contacting us,
yes its true, we can only send Beuchat product into Europe.

Kind regards,

Arnaud

Yeah, no more good prices out of Europe. So any suggestions on where to get realistic pricing on Beuchat or will I have to have someone pick up my gear when on vacation. Can anyone explain why this kind of thing is going on beside the the feeling that greed is playing a big part. I went back on Scubastore and they now only have 9 suits that we here in the US can get. But if you switch your country to France you can choose from something like 30 suits, sweet. Thank god for open markets and competition.

I'd guess it's because a US distributor has bought sole right to sell the stuff on your continent.

I'd imagine someone on here will know who that is.

not just Beuchat but they dropped Mares and other brands too for their customers from the USA. That's too bad because their prices were by far the best! sometimes half of retail!!!

As you point out they still sell most of their stuff to most countries. Like you I'm considering ordering things for when I travel abroad. I would advise to call them and check if the items are in stock, especially if you want more than one item, otherwise their shipping can be delayed by weeks or months.
