Hi every1,
I'm looking for a big fish species to try and make some very delicate carved designs. (just try, as I'm not so sure it would wok out well).
Suggestions? (I would try it myself, although I'm new to the fantastic deep blue world, which is why I need help)

Hi Lena,

How do you mean? You gonna try to do the carving on a fish skeleton, or you want to try to carve a fish shape into a skull like the ones you use for your other designs?

Pretty cool work you do, although it's bot something I'd put up on the wall myself. :)

Maybe something like this.

Well, you're the expert. Guess you need to give it a go before you know for shure, but yes, it's definitely more fragile than a bulls head made to gore. :)

I'm not sure if fish bones or skeletons will work as the bones are just too soft but you may find something to work with by using marine mammal sculls or bones. Dolphins and whales have big hard sculls and big whale vertebra could provide you with ample design space.

I actually think a killer whale / orca skull could make an epic canvas for a design.

Good thinking landshark! These skulls are probably i wee bit more costly than a cow skull. :) But they'd shure be a good basis for a great design!

seal or sea lion maybe? Imagine those huge teeth. And how about bi-valve mollusks? Some beautiful colours and a lot of texture there.
