It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I thought he died of Syphilis, although I would say that death by pie would have been a better way to go, personally I’ve yet to meet the pie that could better me but I always live in hope.:friday:friday
He supposedly had open/weeping sores on his legs for his final years, so may be. Life before antibiotics.
 
Almost right chef Al, it was Henry I, who was said to have died of food poisoning after eating 'a surfeit of lampreys'.

Just like on the lottery---I was 7 (VII) off! Speaking of "off" it was Henry'8 whose fav fraze was "'orf wif 'er 'ead!" rofl
