Marwan: "Honey, we're so bored to be landlocked here in central Virginia, aren't we? Why don't we jump in the car and head to Virginia beach for the weeend? Everything will feel better after a romantic promenade hand in hand by the sea, a candle light dinner in some chic seafood restaurant..."
Wifey: "Great idea, darling, a weekend at the seaside won't do any harm...!

..............Couple drives 250 miles.........

Marwan: "so here we are honey. Look: the ocean!"
Wifey: "that's beautiful, darling!"
Marwan: "Honey, did I ever tell you about Mark? Mark Laboccetta? He's a friend of mine and he lives right here in Virginia Beach. Would you mind if we go to meet him first?"
Wifey: "Well, if it's a brief visit to an old friend, then why not?"
.
...Couple drives down to Mark Laboccetta's Omer Usa headquarters in Virginia Beach...

Marwan: "Hey Mark, how's it going man?"
Mark: "Cor blimey, Marwan, this is surprise! Madam, nice to meet you...Please, come in, I'll show you the warehouse...."

ho ho ho, come to my italian arms!!! :)
The Abellan Robalo is a great choice, but it is not made in Spain. It's made in Italy by a very skilled italian "armaiolo" (gun craft artisan) under Abellan's design.

Go get it, we need our exports to hold on with the global crisis! :blackeye

Get a Teak-Sea pal, if you want to go exotic, (I have to say that I am in love with my cayman HF with HH muzzle).

Also don't forget the Gull Super Bullet snorkel.

Hello Hello Hello,

First, best wishes for your Birthday....hope you have a good one:martial
Second, we all miss you down here, even the fish started to relax too much since you've been gone.

In 2 weeks or less, I'm about to release the first NileDivers wooden speargun and have every intention of sending you a 100 cm canon, accurate with almost ZERO recoil.
(This was accomplished with a lot of help from my friend Steve Veros at Poseiddonsub.)

A small present to a Great friend on his Birthday.:friday

Here is a sneak preview.

Cheers,
Ihab

One advice I don't mix my gear, the Brazilian gear stays in Brazil, the Alaska gear stays in Alaska, I did that once and regreted , Continental damage my Hybrid fins !

Hybrid ones on specialfins.com that cost an ABSOLUTE fortune? I feel sorry for you mate.

Yes those, they damage the last inch of one of the blades, I think it was the lugage belt, I've epoxy it, never again, next time I will make sure to wrap them on card boad.

ok rafael..stop spreading the negative energy with the gear breaking stories :) just kidding man :) good advice..also you could always use the hard cases, they are especially designed for airplane travel...
now back on topic...other ideas folks...:) its going down next week :) (notice the american slang i developed over the last month :):))

Stragelove. I notice you know your stuff and you go to Brazil too. I am planning to travel to RJ and Buzios in December and wife permitting I was planning to do some spearfishing. I do most of my stuff in the N Spanish and French atlantics. Seabass, sargus and similarly small targets, in less than 10 mts. I was thinking on bringing my Beuchat 100 with one sling. Is that enough or should I bring a wooden gun? What wetsuit would you recommend? (3.5 or 5 mm?)
Many thanks for your insight
