One of my buddies will be taking a motorcycle tour around the Black Sea and passing close to the Marmara Sea on the final leg of the journey. Are there freediving opportunities (i.e. should he take his fins?). Also, is a wetsuit recommended and will he need a shorty or is a 5mm apnea suit better for early May?

Thanks
mh

hi,
i try to find informations about black see in crimée.
one friend inviting me there.before going, i'd like first to know if freediving, spaerfishing... there is interesting.
i live in from of the atlantic, france, bretagne, and i grew up in from of mediterranée.
thanks

I am originally from Bulgaria and i use to leave on the cost . There is many places where you can go freediving but the water will be cold at May. So 5 mm will be best. The second problem is that most of the good places for diving are far from the cites and you will need to drive let say 15 to 50 km away from the main roads to get to them .
