Now that the weather is getting warmer I wanted to start some training this year for freediving at Blue Springs State Park (Orange City, FL). I want to find a freediving buddy that would like to go as well during the next couple months. I would go there either afterwork during the week or on Saturdays. Let me know if you're interested.

I'm in. Weekends are great for me. Now that the time has changed, I plan to dive after work a few days of the week as well. Just let me know when you want to dive.

Brian

Brian, that's good to hear; I'm planning to go every week or two; This Saturday is a maybe; during any week I could go on Wednesday or Thursday. You can email me at bevan.bigler@gmail.com to coordinate exact times.

Planning on being at Blue Springs tomorrow by 10AM and Saturday AM, 8ish. Finally, some sunshine here.

I have to work tomarrow, but I plan on diving on Saterday. I'll try to get there in the morning, around 8 or 9. No promisses though. Saterday is usally me day to sleep in.

Sounds good and know what you mean about getting there early on Saturday. Always have good intentions, but better late than never usually happens anyway.

I would love to meet up with you guys. I will not be home to St. Augustine until the middle of April. Is this a regular (weekly) thing? If your still around durning that time I would love to get in touch and do some diving. Let me know
Thanks in advance,
HB

It would be nice to get it going as a scheduled thing, but usually just run into whoever happens to be there. When you get back to St. Auggie let us know and can schedule a time. It's usually pretty crowded on weekends and better to get there early or later as the park closes when it reaches capacity. Getting ready to head there now and imagine there will be lots of people. Take care, Robert.

Thank you Robert,
When I get home I will able to go almost any day of the week. I am a Merchant Mariner, so I have a whole month off at a time. I will PM you after I get home and settle in.
Hulsey

dive4life,

To bad I did not see your post sooner. I was there diving today. If I knew you where going to be there I would have went earlier. I went to shoot some videos. It was fun until I lost my camera. I'm going back monday morning to find it on scuba. We searched as deep as we could freediving. I hope your day was better.

Brian, Hope you're able to find the camera. Make sure to check the ranger station to see if someone turned it in.

I'll be at Blue Springs this Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm; anyone is welcome to join me for training and spotting each other.

If I don't go out of town, I'll be there. Anyone going might want to try and be at the gate no later than 10:00. The park has been filling up.

Also, if you are planing on diving past 60 feet, you may want to bring a light. The water is a little cloudy and you loose light sooner.

SpringDiver,

I be at Blue about 10 on saterday. I have 3 other divers meeting me there as well. If I don't see you in the parking lot I'll see you in the water.

I'm going to Blue Springs again this Saturday (4/30) from 10:00am to 12:30pm for anyone that wants to join me. I should be easy to spot since I'll be in a full wetsuit with long fins.

Later,

Bevan
