OK so does anybody know of any ribs that can be hired or shared in Dorset?

I have been tinkering with the idea of a small rib but i have no previous experience of ownership so before i go putting my life and those of the RNLI at risk i would like to see first hand ownership before i take the plunge.

P.S. Don't let Mrs Glowworm know i'm talking about a boat:martial

John I’m hoping to pick mine new rib up towards the middle of March.
Not going to be a big un at only 4 meters with a 40hp engine so if nothing else it’ll be a bit of fun.:)

Not to sure yet, I don’t fancy towing it every time I come down as that will kind of slow the journey to and from Portland down just a tad.
There are a few dry moorings outside the holiday park at Bowleaze Cove it’s just a matter of how much the bribe to keep it there will be.
Either that or I’ll buy a garage or a lock-up down there somewhere.

Pastor you’re a nightmare besides even I couldn’t manage all 40 horses without sharing so I guess you could have the tails and the teeth.roflrofl

Podge, I reckon a swinging mooring next to the sailing academy would cost about £250 year (or les than £5/week). The web site didnt mention availability. As you go most weekends that probably cheaper than the cost of towing.

Nice one Tim,
So if I charge a small fee for spearo passengers say £10 per day plus fuel and a nominal £15 per person who up-chucks while on route to said spearo mark then you’ll only have to come 10 times through the year and the mooring will be paid for.rofl

Only joking mate you can come along whenever you like.:)

Podge, park it at Johns! That way he could stroke it while keeping himself out of danger with the wife.
