Well potential big ask here but here goes,
I am, in the hopefully not to distant future going to be in the market for a boat.
I have owned boats before so know all the potential costs hassles etc. that out of the way I will be looking for something to fill roles I have not considered before.
My criteria now are:
Useable as a dive boat
Useable as a fun fishing boat (both of these potentially including some offshore trips Eddystone etc.)
Useable as a family boat (this is the new one for me!)
Basically where before a RIB/Inflatable has fulfilled all needs (and yes I did take a 3m inflatable to the Eddystone.. :blackeye ) Now I have a family that want to join me, my good lady and the little 'un will want/require more shelter than a rib provides, in fact a comfy cabin would be a real bonus. On the family theme it must also be as safe/stable easy riding as possible. Fuel costs as always are a consideration, although not top of the list. So on top of that throw in any requirements looked for in a dive boat (mostly can I get back in the thing!) and may the suggestions roll!
I am not going to offer up a fixed budget as I currently haven't got a fixed one but keep it sensible, lets say 10k tops, projects are also entirely possible. I like a bit of customization!
Thought or suggestions on what's available that fits the bill are welcome.
As an aside could I put a Cabin on a rib.. ?!
