Hello

i 'n thinking about ordering this suit for the next season. It seems thats easy to get in and out of the suit. I don't want to own a suit that must handle very carfully and use soap to get in. Has anyone experience with this suit which you can tell me?

thx a lot

Raina

put a link in so we can see it. But freedive suits don't normally have zippers etc. Buy a real freedive or at least spear fishing suit, they are warmer, and softwer, and will feel great.

Hai

here is the link. A lot of freediving suites are very sensible und you have to take care of the skin ... i need something that dont need this care... :blackeye

What thickness is the material? it looks like a standard winter surf suit but with cammo pattern?
imo the surf suits are way ahead of the freediving suits in terms of comfort and ease of putting on, but i'm not sure it would be as warm.

See the post above ...

i think it s a mix of different thickness in the different parts of the suit, but i don't know. Thats the cause i asked here. It is not possible to order this suit in europe and normaly i don't order a suit that i can't try before. But i like the idea of this zip in the front and that it is only a one piece suit and above all ... i like colour and the pattern on the suit. And it's the first suit that would replace my old barrakuda.
If there is a zipper or not.... thats a thing i don't understand the whole time in this freediving thing. Why is a zipper so "evil"?
For me is the target to weare a comfortable suit that fit's and where i feel well inside.

thx

Yes I am sorry as i was thinking more for us English guys!
I just dont know how suitable these suits are for spearfishing, there has been one piece super stretch surf suits around for 20 years but they have never really caught on for spearfishing.
The conventional two piece suit is pretty east to get on with soap & the suits I use are extremely easy to don & very hard wearing!
I like to use custom made nylon lined suits because of those reasons.
The trade off for a two piece lined, inside & outside suit, is a slight loss of suppleness & a slight loss of warmth but in the med I cant see that as an issue?
Have a look at a 3 or 5mm double lined suit here Custom Wetsuits for Spearfishing, Scuba, Triathlon | Oceanos Wetsuits

Well done! . Do let us know how you get on... I think quite a few people will be interested. Do you plan to wear a wetsuit vest underneath?

Sure, i will. In the areas i go freediving a normal 3mm suit would be warm enough. There is no need for me to wear a wetsuit west underneath. I will test this suit also in my favorit german freshwaterlake in the summertime. Maybe i put on a little 2mm shorty underneath if it will be to cold for the deeper areas in the freshwaterlake ( at 8m depth you have only 8°C in this lake)
Wait till i get this suit. I will post some selfmade pics from the suit and how to get in and how comfortable the suit is in use.
I am very excited to get a new suit. its the first since years...:friday

I've been using a body glove 1mm long sleeve top over my aquashpere swimskin and love it. very very flexible surf suits have come along way in the last few years-wont be as warm as an open cell but should be a quality product while free dive suits tend to be warmer I think surf, swim and tri suits have allot more r&d involved with flexibility both in materials and in the cut of the suits hence everyone and they're mom wearing orcas and the huge volume surf companies deal with allow them to put out good products for cheaper. not that i don't love my yamamoto 45 yazbeck.

Looked at the link above for the Ocenos Wetsuits. The set in sleeves in these suits can be restrictive. If you need flexibility in the arms and shoulders, check out the Oceaner Rec 45 at Welcome to Oceaner... This same suit comes in camo and the design offers more comfort and flexibility.

In answer to the question about why zippers are not used in free dive suits - zippers have a tendency to leak which will reduce the warmth of the suit. A zipper also interferes with the flexibility of the suit. Am interested to hear how the free dive slant zip works out. Please keep me posted.

Hi

i'm still waiting for delivery. Ordering was 5 weeks ago. I guess the suit should arrive in the next two weeks. I'd send a request to the shop but didnt get an answer. :hungover
Paid with paypal... so i can get my money back if the suit will not reach me.....

But now all the lakes are frozen and the water is tooooo cold for me. No chance for diving the next two month here in germany....:hungover

Ok, Folks. This guy ripped me off. I dont get suit. He has the money.

Emails to theholydiver.com get rejected as spam. When i use the contact form from the shop i get no answer. I had tried to get a tracking code for the delivery.... no response. I'd tried it several times.

The Holy Diver is not reliable. Dont order anything and prepaid!

i tagged them in WOT als not trustable... but this will not send the paid suit to me.... ((

Terrible news! I was waiting with baited breath for you report but this is not what I expected!
