Just wondering if it has ever been discussed as to whether the degree of body hair effects the contact an open cell wet suit has with the skin? Surely someone with even a medium coating of hair would find more water moving inside their suit? Could this be a reason why some guys notice no difference in temperature between open cell and lined wetsuits?

*must not make Italian or Greek joke*...

Shatup!... The years of me shaving my body to go in the water are over. I'm harry and haven't had any issues with the water flow. But YES that would explain one reason why in the temp difference. Another would just be the human factor. Peoples bodies operate at different temps under similar activities .

I'm hairy and have never noticed.

Apneaboys 'material' Manoprene is the key to staying warm, not suits! eat more pies chaps! :D

I can't believe how many threads i'm getting a battering haha

I wear a carpet on my back, the girls think its sexy (ahum) and it keeps me warm with the bioprene layers I can dive under ice in my red underpants who needs a made to measure!

wasn't a bash mucker! you're just right is all! Can't remember the last time I got cold!? :D

Let me know when your free, and we'll get you over

implying??? ....again probably right! :D

anyway back on topic. I think hair reduces water movement as well as a tight suit. Even in a cold air a beard keeps you warmer.

Ever try to put on an open cell dry? PAIN.... Tried it the other day.
