Havent spearfished in 15 yrs or so and going back into it. Got a good price for the 3x so I went for it.After I got it I'm wondering if I went too big.I used to have an A.B.Biller 48 I believe. Allways heard the longer guns were better for accuracy and such.Water is pretty clear here in Miami and the keys. Havent used it yet.Just asking for thoughts on this.Maybe worrying about nothing.any thoughts?

If the water is clear then you will likely need the range of a longer, more powerful speargun than "average". So, I suspect that you may be worrying unnecessarily - if you like ithe Riffe, "suck it & see".

It has 3 bands, so you could load just 1 or 2 bands if you find 3 excessive. You could remove 1 or 2 bands if you prefer. And/or fit thinner/thicker bands.

Everything else being equal, I think you are right, longer guns will usually be more accurate at range. But that does not necessarily mean better: they will also usually be bigger, heavier and have greater drag in the water. 3-bands will take longer and require more physical exertion to load, etc.. Matching your needs/conditions and achieving a good balance is, perhaps, really what is all about.
