Hi I just joined this site so I apologize if this is the incorrect thread.

I recently moved to Puerto Rico and wanted to get into spearfishing (primarily off and around coral reefs). The only gun I could find ,short of ordering online, was a used euro bucanero speargun for 130$. It looked straight and relatively smooth, no cracks, dents, good trigger mechanism. I replaced the rubber myself and it seems to work just fine. My question is what can yall tell me about what I just bought in terms off what might I want to do for maintenance or upgrades?

I’d check/replace the mono liner and check the rubbers to make sure there aren’t any faults. Then I’d just get out and use it. That way any upgrades will become obvious.
