Hi there,

Ordered a pair of medium stiffness Maorisub carbon wings 85, but instead got the soft Maorisub wings 75 delivered. Very nice fins but just not what I needed. Sending them back was more expensive than trying to sell them again (i hope :crutch)
Shop price 140 GBP or 200 Euro 0r 285 USD.

So now:

2 Maorisub carbon wings 75 blades (carbontec) see picture,
excluding shipping, PRICE DROP: 140 Euro or 100 GBP or 210 USD.
Blades are located in the Netherlands.

Greetings from Holland,
Yaffle

Well, they would refund but not the shipping costs......
How are the 85? Did you buy medium?

Yaffle

Sorry but dont you find that a bit unfair towards buyers Id tell em to fix their mistakes. If you walked into their shop and snapped a pair of those blades youd be liable for it, they sent you the wrong goods so they should carry all replacement costs. If they dont Id advise not to support them again.
Aaa the joys of having a supplier around the corner :)

Absolutely! If they sent you the wrong goods it's their problem not yours. Who was this, Maorisub? Email them and tell them that their customer service is being discussed on the forums and let me know who this is so I don't order anything from them. Don't sit back and take this!

Make a new post on the fourum wich mentions in the title how bad they are..that way everyone can see.

The 85s are so awsom...like a dream.
I fitted them with sea tech foot pokets

Ai...,
sorry for the late response on the tread, but i got them from a dive-shop in Italy, not from maorisub directly. The dive-shop states however that they got wings85 on their invoice....But it's still a drag.
Tried contacting the spearo.co.uk shop a couple of times for a possible trade-in with payment from my side but no response, maybe i try contacting maorisub directly. Do they speak English?

Thanks for all the support guys!
Yaffle

yaffle, I think that Enzo at Maorisub does speak english. Otherwise you may Pm me with the message you intend to mail to maorisub, so that I can translate it in italian for you...
I can even try to make a phone call to maorisub tomorrow in the afternoon, but what do I have to ask them? And BTW, what was the shop you bought from?

Price drop, need the cash, offers welcome......
Thanks
Yaffle

Hi guys and galls,
After a break of 6 months i'm back, dusting of my gear and still finding these.....
So still for sale, and since I might go for a mono this year I would really like to sell these, so take a shot!

Thanks,
Yaffle

Hey surprised these are still around?! What foot pockets are they compatable with?
Cheers
Joe

Hi there,
Sorry for the late response...

According to maorisub they can be fitted with any pocket you want:

Maorisub - pinnewing75

And someone here fitted seatec pockets without a problem I believe.

Thanks,
Yaffle

They look indeed nice and I am surprised you did not sell them yet. Probably few people know Maorisub (frankly told I never heard about them either), but from your photo it is apparent that the blades come from CarbonTek, which is already a name better known among freedivers. I do not know why it is co-branded to Maorisub (Italian company), but on the photos the blades seem to be slightly different (namely the rails, possibly the dimensions too) on both websites, so I guess CarbonTek manufactures the blades for Maorisub with their specifications.

Are there any holes drilled in the blades already?

Hi there trux,

No holes drilled yet. All new as on the pictures. And indeed, also near the cool logo is the CarbonTek name....No idea if they are really different then the Carbonteks. Maybe Spaghetti knows a bit more about the maorisub company?

Greetings,
Yaffle

And up again.....There must be someone out there for these.....

Yaffle

Why not putting them up on eBay (and announcing the link then here and in couple of other freediving and spearfishing forums)? I bet you'll sell them easily - the price you announced here is more than fair, and I wouldn't be surprised if you end selling them for considerably more on eBay.

Ivo the Maorisub company, based in Bari, Italy, has a very high reputation among spearfishers more than freedivers, especially for their famous "Mamba" pneumatic spearguns.
Frankly I don't know if they buy the fin blades from Carbontek and rebrand them, or if its a product of their own.
All I can say is that the Maorisub brand has a strong reputation for quality, innovation and reliability.

Sigh.........Someone must need them.....I'll throw in a gift then.

Yaffle

sorry, only just seen this thread, are they still for sale?
i know someone who has the exact same fins and may want them as a spair. i will ask him tonight, can you ship to uk?
