I have been toying with the idea of a polespear with a breakaway tip that is hooked to a floatline for larger fish (20 lbs+). I have heard of a guy in Barbados that is doing it, but am not certain if I should use the travel spear I already have, knock out the nodes on the front end, and have that portion break away from the back portion, or start from scratch and work it from there. Anyone have any knowledge? Mahalo nui loa....a hui hou
