I have beed reading Sebastian Murat's stuff on another thread and it is fascinating and very confusing. The gist I am taking is that he encourages diving with little air held in the lungs for max dives. He goes into alot of science that I find absolutely fascinating.
I also get the gist that for his type of training he does only one max dive per session. While that is amazing, it is not what I am interested in.
What I am looking for is to be able to dive all day and be very active in the water. I am thinking that if I can have an active five minute capability I will be a very happy camper. I come to this number somewhat arbitrarily thinking that 30 seconds down, two minutes bottom, 30 seconds up with two minutes cushion would allow me alot of water time.
Do you hunters and photographers who make tons of divers in a day do the empty lung (FRC???) type dives or do you do full lung dives? Or do you go half way between? I am also understanding that packing is not a good thing.
