it is slowly winding down but overall it was the best season I ever had. Was in the water perhaps 50 times in almost 4 months. Combination of good weather and work assignments in coastal communities did it. Played with seals, picked some crabs, urchins, cucumbers. Shelfish is getting better and probably ready to eat, though it was one hell of a red tide. How did you fellow BC'er do, anybody managed to harness this stretch of a sunny days?

I spent most of the summer around the north end of Georgia strait, Cortes area and up around Lund, it was kind of funny , in previous years I never seemed to find many ling and when I did it was pretty deep-50 feet or so, but this year they seemed to be everywhere, so I just swam with them. There is a good population just north of Lund before you enter Thulin passage-its a beach dive, started to run into them in just 25 feet of water. Eary in the summer the visability seemed better, in sept off the entrance to Squirrel cove the vis didn't clear up untill you were below 30 feet--Im rambling here but yes it was a great summer Cheers
