Alison to the [ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showpost.php?p=459617&postcount=10"]rescue[/ame]!!!

Yeah! contact me before 09:00 and its £0.21 for the gun + £0.15 p&p (+ £45.27 for every ounce of fish landed thereafter) After 09:00 the price doubles every 5 minutes :D Now who says that being a moderator here has no benifits ;)
Seriously guys,it would be nice to have a full report of the comp here :) best of luck to all involved :)

Just under fifty divers entered with club teams from Exeter, Jersey, London, Southsea, Sussex & Wessex.
Conditions force 4 to 5 SW no vis on inshore rocks, vis line was about half mile out.
Many good divers scored a blank due to being unable to find ground or fish due to wave isolating and lack of fish.
Bognor its self has not been fishing well for the past couple of weeks and the winning catch of three fish reflected that. Well done Dave Bailey, check out full results on http://pub27.bravenet.com/forum/2307221216/show/492649

I was on the outer reef... the viz even dropped there to zero at about 2pm! I could not see the end of my 60! What fun. Well done to Dave for getting 3 fish in those conditions! The next two rounds is a double header. Friday 19th Aug at Branscombe Devon, the following day, 20th Aug at Sandyday - Devon. Hope to see a good turn out again. Laters.

Thats 5th and 6th of August for the next rounds (19th and 20th are the back up dates)
As an added incentive for newer divers to enter, , Spearo UK Ltd are putting up a custom Eliossub wetsuit as a prize for the best newcomer over the 2 days.
It was good to see so many divers at Bognor on Saturday. The water was actually quite clear where I was (shame it was nowhere near the reef!)
cheers

Let it not be ever forgotten that Dave (spero) was an hour late getting back to the finish because he could not 'find' the outer reef! Only joking. Have done it myself and floated around for five hours looking at gravel. :)

Doh - Dave is right - next round the 5th and 6th Aug! See you there. Clive.

elios for the best newcomer.. I think I just woke up.. do I qualify as a newcomer?? I have never taken part in spearing comp..? hence newcomer..right..

I am trying to get together with Ntrik to make it to those comps.. when do we have to register.. and was there a 3man strong team lower limit??

Pekka

A newcomer is anyone who has not entered a BSA competition before this year.
Teams are 3 person maximum, but you do not have to be in a team to enter. You just need standard spearfishing kit, with MOST IMPORTANTLY a regulation size float (between 5 & 20 litres) flying an "A" flag at least 15cm x 15cm.
Full competition rules can be found on www.underwaterfishing.co.uk
cheers
