Hi Guys,

I havn't been diving in a while but have been feeling the urge with all this hot weather in Durban (RSA). So I opened up the old dive bag and remembered my one Cressi fin was broken and I never got round to doing anything about it. :headThen it all came back to me - shore dive, slammed into the rocks by a wave - ah yes... THAT long swim back around to my exit point with one working fin.

Its cracked/broken right at the join between the blade and the foot-bit. I tested it out again in the pool and its all floppy and useless!!

I desperately need to replace this fin or fix it. Im not too sure what glue's you can use (without melting the plastic) or whether Cressi will replace the broken fin for me? I bought it at Rob Allen's shop here in Durban... Im pretty sure they're not going to replace it cos I bought it like a year ago. :hmm

What do you think? Any suggestions?

Try giving the RA shop a ring and speak to Trevor or Jeremy. Explain its only a year old and see if they can help you out with a new fin or give you some discount on a new pair of fins. Or alternatively go into the shop in person (thats what i would do) and speak to Trevor (he's an indian guy), i have meet him a few times now and he has allways treated me and my friends well with customer service and prices.

Hi Janner,

Yeah I thought this might be my only option really - apart from just buying a new pair all together.

RA guys are normally really really helpful and understanding. I'll try my luck. :martial

Thanks again.

I'm with Janner... take it in to the shop and they will most definitely assist you. If it can be fixed they'll know how. Either that or buy a new pair, they have some great stuff made with new technology that makes a significant difference to your fin stroke. Consider it an early Christmas present to yourself
