A few people have asked me over the years about the sled we built. Here are some pics that formed the basis of our sled design....some people might recognise who this sled originally belonged to.......anyone?

Pippin Ferreras. It looks like the design he used but too new to be his.

The T bar holds 4 by 10kg plates and is also used for hooking the knees under. It belongs to the guys in New Caledonia and they ride it tandem as well.....that should give a few clues on the original owner.

this may be a dumb question but I'd like to have some guidance on how to design the device that goes thru the line or rope and how to make an effective brake so the sled will stop at will and easy to operate

There is a plan of a sled with a brake here:
Plan gueuse apnee

But there are many other different systems in use too. You could also ask in a local store for sailors - they may have something well suitable.
