I'm thinking of buying a new speargun and maybe a pair of fins before heading home to Norway.
1. Where can I get this along the coast from Durban south to the wild coast?
2. How are the prices compared to Europe?

Re: Buying spearo gear in South Africa

Surprised nobody responded yet. I believe the Rob Allen Dive Factory is in Durban. I'll see if I can find any stores mentioned in the Len Jones spearo book later. Word is that spearo gear is much cheaper in South Africa. If you use it before you return, you might avoid customs issues(?).

Buying gear in SA is massively cheaper than buying it back here in Europe. Have a look at these guys aswell, FreeDivers i believe there also based around the Durban area. I know a few guys in SA who rate there gear highly.

Durban
Freedivers are good and just behind the Rugby Stadium and opposite the municipal mashy golf course.
Rob Allen is in the SW suburb of Umbilo.
Both are a few minutes from the actual city centre or beachfront.
Enjoy.:)
