My first bulldog dentex!!! Normally found in 40m here in Cape Verde so it was a big surprise to find one. I thought it was a Golden African Snapper, just going behind a boulder so I dropped down on top of the boulder and took aim in a little gap. Sure enough he came up quick to look in the gap and I got him with a Rob Allen 120 Conditions were amazing with 30m+ vis. Ground was volcanic sand with giant honeycomb boulders all around.

Depth was 20m so I dont know why he was 'shallow' like that. 40m is way beyond my limit (cough cough stubbs out cigarette) so its probably the only one I'll ever see
