Hi everyone !

One week ago, I bought a home trainer to practice apnea on my bike. So far, I have been doing exercises mimicking what we do in pool training :
- 60 rpm, 30' apnea, 10 sec rest, 20 times
- 60 rpm, 50' apnea, 40 sec rest, 10 times

Do many of you practice dry apnea on bike ? What are the results ? What type of exercices are you doing and what advices could you give me ?

Sorry if this question has already been answered, I didn't find much through the search tool.

Cheers ! Raph

I practise apnea biking on my last phase of preparation for a depth competition and if you ask me its a very good substitute for pool training as long as your primary goal isn't to improve technique, which you cannot practise without a pool.

Rumor has it that Stephane Mifsud trains regularly, and quite hare cycling. It seems to have worked for him (11:35 static world record)
I have no idea of his training regimine.

Speaking about freediving stars, Guillaume Nery, who had for some time the world record in constant weight, is also training with the bike. There was a reportage on him and they said he did it daily. But in details... Of course nothing. So I think we can definitely say that it's useful!
