Hi.
I think about C4 mustang 80. I am affraid the blades stifness. Is it not very soft? Can I use C4 mustang 80 in constant weight? I have 178 cm and 75 kg.
Robert

there are so many messages about this, I did some too. Nata (from C4) is present on DB, I guess you could PM her or go via the C4 websites contact section. My 2 cents, from what I've seen here, and from Nata, is that the fins sound perfect for your use/weight/size.

Hi,

I'm 187cm / 75kg and I own a pair of Mustang 80. My opinion is that they are great when diving on inhale, and a bit soft when ascending on a FRC dive.

I can hardly feel any difference between the 30s and 80s until I widen the kick. That's how the 80s work best. A few years ago, when my legs were stronger, the 40s were about ten seconds faster than the 80s on a 60 meter dive but they seemed to take a lot more effort. I was 80 kilo then.
Think of the 80s as different more than softer.

Hi everybody :)

Robert, if you are looking JUST for an apnea fin, choosing a C4, Mustang 80 is the best model.
The blade is very soft and longer than the others.
Mustang 80 blade: 865 x 190 mm

Ciao,

What's essential difference between apnea fins and spearfishing fins? Is C4 mustang 80 good choice for freediving constant weight? Maybe better choice is C4 mustang 30 or flap 30?

is it even softer than the 15 and 25 Falcons?

For the CW the best choise is a fin that give you a constant speed with the minor energy-consuming.
In spearfishing there are a lot of different situation, waves, steam, fishes.... In this case you need a fin that has a bigger employment range, and not just a specific one.

Mustang 80 is good choise for CW Apnea, but not for spearfishing.
Mustang 25/30/40 or Flap 25/30/40 are a good choise for spearfishing or normal use, not specific for Apnea.

I hope this can help you. :)

In you case, I suggest you to try Mustang 80 or Fuego VGR 25.

Ciao,
Natalia
