C4 Mustang HT fins issue

Hi guys,
I bought a Mustang HT fins from the dealer a couple of days ago.

Blades and foot pockets were separately in the package. And when I started to put them together I realised that holes in the fins didn’t fit with a holes in the foot pockets.

Can someone advise me how solve this issue?

Is it the same problem with both fins? theres definitely nothing in the slot obstructing it?
It looks like the holes are the right width apart, maybe you could try trimming a few mm off the end of the blade with a sanding disk or similar and it would line up. I don't know much about cf though so not sure if that will compromise it any way, could be a really bad suggestion. Someone here will know though I'm sure!

Are you sure the blades are all the way into the foot pockets? Many pocket/blade combos are very tight and not so easy to get the blades in all the way. Seems unlikely that C4 would have a blade/pocket combo that could not line up.

I agree with cdavis...when I got my C4 (Falcon) it was really hard to get the blades right into the footpockets. After some "struggle" I finally made it

I had to work mine fully into the slot to get them to align with the holes. A bit of silicone spray makes it easier to slide it in. Sweet fins btw

It looks like the rails are as far back as they will go so maybe the holes are off a bit.
Just get a smaller drill bit and drill them through. There isn't much stress on the screws; they're there to just keep the blade from sliding out only. The footpockets are usually tight on the blade and that's what holds them. I've seen guys just run a zip-tie through those holes.
I've drilled carbon for the same reason before, with no problems.
