I know a few of you guys have said that you have them and have used them. Any reviews? Do they live up to the standard set by their carbon brother. I currently have a set of Waterways #2's, and I'm looking for something a little stiffer to get me off the bottom. Subprof has the black Wahoos and I'm seriously considering getting a pair, and wanna make sure that I'm not gonna wind up selling them after the first dive.

Same boat, still waiting too. I'm a bit worried the foot pocket might be a bit tight on my wide feet. They are difficult to get hold of in the UK too.

I'm not so much worried about the pocket, as I've dove a pair of Mustangs before. It's more the blades that i'm concerned with. I've noticed, and I'm guessing I'm probably a little slow, that there is a difference between how the rating of a blades stiffness translates into performance from plastic and fiberglass blades, and at least C4 blades. This may be the same for all carbon blades, but the C4's are the only ones I've used. The Mustangs were kinda soft for a 30, and the VTR 25's I dove were exceptionally soft. I was just curious as to whether this translated into the Wahoo as well.

Hello fellow DB'ers,

I would really love some more feedback from someone who actually owns, has tried the C4 Wahoos.

Anyone have a set of these baby's?

Questions such as:

wahoo:
- how is the performance?
- any problems/weaknesses you have noticed?
- for comparison, are the blades similar in feel to any other fins?
- are they comfortable for long sessions?

new mustang footpockets:
- how is the feel of the new mustang footpockets?
- how does the sizing of the footpockets compare to other types of footpockets you have tried?
- can you actually wear different thickness of socks by adjust the laces ? (e.g., for cold water dives wearing thicker socks, but having the footpocket still fit)

Cheers,
Sean

hey spagetti

thanks for the reply and link, which was useful.

the C4 rep gives most of the info in the link about; wherease, i would like to find someone who actually owns a pair of C4 Wahoos and get their feedback. (or at least tried them for a good amount of time)

anyone out there owning these babies? ....it seems strange to not have any owner-based reviews by now.....

cheers,
sean..

I just came back from Elba (Italy) from a three week holliday with my family. I used my C4 Wahoos every day for about 2-3 hours (they are the old version with amber blades). The footpockets are very comfortable, although my feets are quite wide, the blades are very soft (which I personally like) and easy to kick. I think it's not easy to find better fins for long swimming and dives to 10 - 15m. For deeper dives they are to soft (for me).
Hope that helps a bit.
best regards
Joerg
