Hi all -

I'm an avid spearo and freediver headed to Cote d'Azur, and really looking forward to getting in the water there. I already know the fish will be smarter than me so I'm not bothering to bring a speargun. I'm looking for a dive buddy and tips on beautiful shore dive spots. I'll be staying in Nice and Grimaldi, Italy. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Bryan

PS - This is my first post on Deeper Blue but I've been active on other dive forums (Spearboard). Check out the videos my brother and I put together of spearfishing in California:

I just wanted to put out another call for help. I'm in Toulouse now and headed to Nice on the 11th. If anyone is willing to take me out or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Just a recommendation of a pretty dive spot between Nice and the Italian border would be great. I'm comfortable diving to about 30m but I would stay shallower if diving alone. My French is not very good (terrible) but it would be fun to meet another diver from the area. I would certainly return the favor if you're ever in California.

France has been wonderful so far - the people, the food, the sights - all so much better than I had imagined.

Merci,
Bryan
