Hi!

In my opinion there is no a direct relationship, because how deep a free diver can go depends on his mental strength/ability to relax. And you have to different between dynamic and static.

For me to overcome the fear of the deep is the bigger challenge than simply hold my breath during static or dynamic in shallow water. It don’t takes a lot of time to go deep but it takes a lot of confidence, and with training it will be better and better.
