just to show my soloution to the problem bought the camera from ebay with extra attatchments one of the attatchment is ideal for the speargun just srewed in place is on top but i dnt think its an issue as i dnt look straight down the barrel when shooting

i'm going to do the same thing. what kit did you get ? i was thinking the car kit would be the best to mount on a gun am i wrong ??
 
i went for the motorsport kit but i think i gt some extra bits when i bought it as i got it on ebay
 
I found that the bike kit worked perfectly on the back of my gabbiano, I attach it just in front of the loading pad. Its easy to remove, downside is that you have to readjust the angle sometimes if you bang it loading. But it also means you can easily change the angle and film stuff without pointing your gun at it if you wish.
