I have a 3mm open cell MORMII suit in the med blue camo patern ,I do not know if it works or not I do get some funny looks on the beach and the wrass seam very atracted to me as i sit on the bottom.
Its i am thinking of getting a 7mm winter suit and was wondering if the exta cost of a camo suit was worth it and this time I thought i would get a green one as that seams to be the colour of UK waters :friday

I swear by my Sporasub Rascasse suit in UK areas where I'm fishing predominantly in kelpy areas. This suit wasn't that expensive compared to others when I bought it but sadly now out of production.

Thats a nice looking camo :)
I think camo can help you but I think it will help the better spearo more than the beginer, in that with the better technique the camo can be used to better effect; whereas the intermidiate skilled user probably wont be able to make the best use for it, if you know what I mean. Having said that, I think if camo is what makes you feel better and helps your confidence then yes its got to be the thing to have. My husband had a camo suit this year and its working for him :)

I think camo works.. not for fish but especially for you ;) spearfishing is 80% concentration and motivation imo, and camo puts on your motivation and concentration more.. Actually this is my idea but every bit that you buy making you a bit more excited to use makes you more motivated.

Interesting and a very realistic comment mate :)

My latest suit is cammo - my last one was black and I haven't noticed much difference except on the beach where I feel more eyes on me and cheeky kids ask me questions like 'are you a Marine?' (to which I reply - no, I'm a child catcher). With regard to UK bass I'm wandering wheather trying to blend in is really the right way to go. I have been able to get very close to bass when I've be out swimming in brightly coloured surf suits - they seem interested by the bright colours and the flouro yellow snorkell i've been using since loosing my black one isn't doing any harm - maybe the opposite? A lot of people seem obsessed with total stealth - everthing cammo - complete silence - but a bit of commotion and colour seems to get them interested. What do other people reckon to this? Are there some fish (maybe in the med)that respond better to the super stealthy approach?

Fish see color, so I would assume the como works to a certain extent. I would hazard a guess it's more of a disruptive pattern, breaking up the divers outline, then a total concielment.

I own am omer mimetic Med suit. I like it. I would like if more if it didn;t have 50 million little white omer logos on it. but it does it' job.
