Hi guys

I want to get into my training and yesterday I used the apnea trainer provided here to do my CO2 table. The thing is, I dont know anything about how to make up my tables, so I used the suggested table from the software. Unfortunately, the program hasnt got the CO2 tables yet, so I cant get the suggested table for them! My max hold is 1m 15s. Can anyone please recommend a table for me, and how do I adjust it over time?

thanks guys

Hi! Thanks for the link :)

I've downloaded it, but the thing is, I dont know what values to use! :(

Like I said, I used the computer to generate values for me in Jozef's program, but this program doesnt do that (as far as I can tell!) so I dont know what a good table would be for me with my max hold of 1m15s. If anyone could give me some values that'd be great, because then I can adjust them myself later on as I get better!

Thanks again

It depends on you! With a PB of 75 sec. I would recommend these values:

Table A: 120/60/120/15
Table B: 120/80/10/120

Table B is more as your PB but you will make it. I'm sure.

Play with the values. The first value is without any greater meaning. In table A you should play with the Breath hold time (70-80% of your PB) and with the decrease rest time (10-15 sec).

In table B you can cplay with your max. breath hold (70-80% of your PB) and the increase hold time (10-15 sec).

Try it out whether it fits for you.

Feel free to ask. It is one of the reason for this forum.:)

The values I wrote where been the values for Stefan's Staic Trainer program.

"Table A: 120/60/120/15" stay for the entry fields in the program. 120 sec "Intro" (for preparing), 60 sec "Breath hold", 120 sec "Initial rest time" and 15 sec "Decrease rest time by:".

This means:
120 sec preparation,
60 sec breath hold, 120 sec rest,
60 sec breath hold, 105 sec rest,
60 sec breath hold, 90 sec rest

and so on until your last rest will be 30 sec.

"Table B: 120/80/10/120" means
120 sec preparation,
10 sec breath hold, 120 sec rest,
20 sec breath hold, 120 sec rest,
30 sec breath hold, 120 sec rest

and so on until your last breath hold will be 80 sec.

BTW: If I see these values you should try it with 60 sec rest, else it could by that it is to easy!

After a couple of time you get a feeling for these values. They are not static. So on somedays I like it harder (with harder values) or sometimes I do only easy tables.

If you have more questions - ask.

Cheers
