I think that maybe you should ask the guys there.

I know of guys that use euroguns and pneumatics there, but the best would be speak directly to them.

that deal really does look good.... i think i wil look into it. asturven, my friend there uses this old old euro gun, so old that the muzzle is falling off, and hes speared everything with it. im thinking of going into a more euro direction now.... does anybody know the prices of the rob allen guns? i tried to find dealers but the only site i found was sumora.com, and they did not have any RA guns.

Hi Squid, I'm happy you're going euro!
My advice is to get a cheap, lightweight euro bandgun, size 75 or 90, such as Omer Dragon or Sporasub Aspic, the cheapest on the market but perfect for bass (or a pneumatic, why not?).
Careful: I don't know anything about the waters of Rhode Island (terrain, depth, waves, current, other fish present: good thing to ask your friends) but in general you don't need super-expensive or super-powerful guns for bass: they have tender meat, but are fast and nervous (especially when empty stomach). So what you need is a lightweight, fast tracking, easy to handle "euro-guitar".
