what are Canadian Regs for spearfishing freshwater. What kind of licenses does someone from the US need?

Are there also any one out there that's done in any Freediving in Tobermory, Ontario?

Spearfishing in Ontario is 100% illegal. if you're caught with a speargun withing 150m of water it's big doodoo.

There is some interesting freediving in Toby - some of the shallower wrecks can be fun.

DEEP OBSESSION

I was freediving off of this charter boat last summer in Tobermory.

I forgot the name of the shop that they ran out of, but all of the boats, and shops, are located in the little town surronding the dock.

There are a ton of different wrecks to dive on, and caves too! Any one of the many wrecks that sunk by smashing into the rocks would work out best. Most of them start out in around 20' of water and progress down the slope to around 90'- 150'. You can really pick your depth of where you feel confortable. There are some very shallow wrecks, less than 25' of water in the Little Tub and Big Tub harbor area- three seperate fishing tugs, the Sweepstakes and the Ottawa.
