I recently got an email from deeperblue that stated that my subscription was about to expire.
When I looked at the subscription it states that the only sub is a recurring one and there is no way to cancel it.
When I subscribed I do not remember seeing a recurring option on the sub. form I was under the impression that it was a one year deal.
I think that in fairness there should be a way to cancel your sub online.

I think subscription is cancelled when it expires. I was late renewing it last year and that was what happend.

No, there is no option to cancel the sub once you have started it.
The only sub on offer now is a recurring one, there is no longer a yearly subscription.

Personally I only use virtual Credit Cards for any Internet payments. Being an IT developer specialiazed in e-commerce security, and seeing monthly dozens of e-commerce servers closely, I know very well that the payment data you give to the merchant are rarely kept and handled in a sufficiently secure manner (please note that I do not suggest it is the case at DB).

For this reason, I never use my real CC number, but rather generate a different unique virtual CC number for each online transaction. In this way you do not need to bother if the number gets stolen or attempted to charge more times than you'd desire, since you can set the exact amount that can be charged from that virtual CC, and the expiry time.

Most banks offer such virtual CC program for free, but if it is not the case at yours, just type "virtual cc" or "virtual credit card" into Google and you'll get plenty of providers of such service. You better chose a reputable one.

Huan - i've already responded via email to you but will post here as well for everyone elses benefit.

We use PayPal as our payment provider. To cancel your subscription you will need to go into your PayPal account and cancel your subscription payment. This will then automatically stop your supporter status when your membership comes round for renewal.

Hope that helps!
