Trying to cut down a picasso pacific but cant seem to get the muzzle off.
I got the handle off and dont want to cut it from there because of some plastic ring inside that supports the handle and dont want to mess with that.
Tried yanking, oil, pounding,I personally cant believe the muzzle is holding that strong to the pipe, and I took the screw out of course.

Has anybody got there's off or have ideas how to get if off??
Thanks
Ben

I've always been able to get muzzles off my Rob Allen guns by pounding. I do use a rubber mallet so I don't bend anything too badly, but have never had a problem. It does some times take a while to work it out, so patience is necessary. It does sometimes involve a lot of gentle pounding from all directions.

I had no problem getting my picasso muzzle off. The newer ones must be secured better. Try to heat the barrel a bit (if it's aluminium) and while it's hot put the muzle in a vice and try to turn it. Be careful!! I don't want you to be mad at me if it breaks!!

You could cut the muzzle off then you would be able to see why!?

Yeah Foxfish I cut the barrel down already, all I can see is the barrel plug.

I will try heating it up but the problem with the picasso pacific muzzle is you cant twist it because of the barrel track is integration in the muzzle.

Not giving up
Thanks

Do you think it is epoxied in place, or fixed by screws, etc?
Slowly pouring a copious amount of boiling water over the muzzle may soften the epoxy sufficiently for you to dislodge it with your rubber mallet.
A gentler alternative to start with, than maybe a flame torch etc.
Cheers and good luck.

Hey Sniper, since you already have cut the muzzle end of the barrel off, secure the muzzle in a vice and then take a dremel type tool and use a small cutting wheel to make progressively deeper scores in the aluminum barrel. Two separate cuts should allow an easier removal of the barrel.

Or run a hack saw blade in a spiral around the barrel offcut & remove the plug.
