Heya folks, anyone out there with anything to say about them? I've heard they're pretty good, and they come in my size (37-39, yes I have elvish feet) too. But I'd like to get an opinion first before spending US$110 on a pair of these.

Anyone?

Do you mean like the ones used on the waterway nemo? If so they are quite similar to the ones on my sporasub bifins - though a little less boxy.

I like the Omers better - but I'm not a bifin aficionado.

I have found them great, I used to have a pair of cressi gara 2000hf and these are just as comfy with a pair of 3mm socks on.

Dave

Hey Fondue, yeah them Waterway fins. But I am only interested in the footpocket. Do you reckon it's worth the price difference? The Mares Razors are $40 compared to this $110, and I bet Omers don't cost as much, for such a big difference I expect something extraordinary.

Dave, cheers for that. Same question to you as to Fondue, worth the difference in price?

Hey, I swap between two pairs of fins, 1 pair with Nemo pockets and the other with Omer and i can't really tell any difference!

Hey mate, thanks for that. How about comfort wise? Mind telling me how you wear your fins? With socks, fin keepers? Cheers!

always with 3mm socks but no fin keepers unless i know that i'll be diving fairly deep all day!
maybe the Nemo pockets are a bit more rigid than the omer ones but comfort wise i dont feel that there is an awful lot to choose between them!

Cheers mate! Was very helpful. Now to think about sizing... The Nemo comes in my size, but worth the money? Hmmm. But I can wear thicker socks with the Omer better for me who gets cold terribly easily. Hmmm. Anyone with any thoughts?

If they're cheaper then i'd go with the Omers! can't think of enough difference to warrant any more hard earned cash!

I've used both Nemo and Omer footpockets. I prefer the Omer. However, it's really all about the shape of your foot and the fit of the footpocket. The Nemo was a tad tight on me and the omer was more comfortable. Sometimes you just got to try it to tell.

Dave.

Dave, my feet are tiny, so even the smallest Omer I have to wear socks! Haha.

Stingrays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My my Bjorn, I feel such strong emotions from your post.:t

So tell me, why the Stingrays? And more importantly, what's their smallest size?

factory angle of the footpockets is 22degrees! much higher than traditional Omer, Sporasub, Picasso,Waterway etc.

nice and soft on the foot, yet stiff under foot to heklp with power transfur, VERY COMFORTABLE, seem to contour to the feet better, think the smallest size is 40? but not 100% sure.

not to mention the fact that the stingrays are also already available from the factory eith carbon blades, of course you can always add blades seperatly but figure the carbon Stingrays are gonna be more than suitable for recreational deep diving and spearing/photography.
