My power fins arrived 2 weeks ago from fin swim world, I had my first chance to test them out last weekend. I bought stiffness #3 thinking they might be a little soft but after using them they proved to be brilliant! I was previously using picasso Carbono GP21 and while these fins were very nice I was always worried about breaking the blades. They are relatively soft compared to the nemo's. Haven't had a chance to dive to any decent depth with them yet due to weather being crap but hopefully this weekend I will get the chance to take them deeper than my pb of 18m. One thing that I found I will need to get used to is the flat blade, the picasso's had I think 18degrees where as these blades have none and the foot pocket only about 12degrees so my ankles were hurting a little but nothing too bad that I won't get used to it in the coming weeks. The water will be warming up soon and they'll be getting a work out every weekend from here untill eternity - or atleast untill I lose them or break them or die. Cheers

PS, I don't think it's possible to break them!

I use Nemo’s and I LOVE um.
As for the breaking part, you’re right you’d have to be some kind of animal to bust them.
I’ve only got the blades in stiffness number 2 but am seriously considering getting a pair of number 3 blades.
Good luck with the spearing.:)

doh, i must be some kind of animal then!

managed to split one blade down the middle while fishing in Venezuela last year!

I'm another Nemo user. As I bought the blades second hand I have never really discovered what number/stiffness they are. Shame they dont indelibaly mark them. Have compared then to known value blades but still not sure what value they are.

They do seem extra tough and i think having used plastic, GRP and carbon blades I will happily stick with the GRP.

I have stiffness #3's and they do mark them but I think it's only a sticker in the end of the blade that in time will come off. Mine are noticably stiffer than my picasso carbon GP21 fins so my guess is and this is simply speculating, that #2's would be rather similar to the picasso's?

Newbie_spearo, sorry about the question, but how much did you pay for yours nemo blades?

I bought the complete fins so blades and foot pockets from finswimworld for 90Euro plus shipping on top. The reason I got them direct was because there is no importer for these fins in Aus anymore and the fins are basically not available in shops over here. Shipping for a single set of fins from czech rep I think was around 35Euro. would expect it to be much the same to Rio.
I think blades only are 69Euro, but don't quote me on that.

Thank You Newbie!
I will contact finswinworld for more information.

correction, 59Euro for black, 49Euro for yellow for the blades. You can put the blades into picasso or omer pockets too. They may actually be a little nice in picasso pockets as the picasso pockets have a slightly bigger angle on them making surface swimming a little easier.

I will contact them and negotiate the price and the shipping to brazil.
thank you again!
