I'm looking to buy a new gun, a 110cm Pathos Laser Open Pro but I'm confused if I should get the Aluminium or Carbon model.

Could anyone give me some goods, bad or tips to help make up my mind, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

well just my 2p worth and bearing in mind i only have one carbon gun that Foxfish made for me, i wouldn't spend more for a carbon version of the 110. From a mechanical point of view i dont see a benefit, but of course carbon tends to look nice, even after some use, whereas the alu version will look 'used'...
but in malta i expect you have amazing clear water, so if you plan to load up on bands and power, then maybe wood would be better... :)
bound to be different opinions.

I used the Ali model in 100cm and its a great gun.. Haven't tried the carbon version thou. But I now have the full set of Ali opens !

What do you mean by full set of Ali?

Would you recommend the Pathos Laser Open Pro 110cm? Aluminum ofcourse.

Ah ok understood.

I looked up Pathos abit and seen that they have 26-28.5mm barrels on aluminium models. Should I be concerned about flex on a 110cm Aluminum model with dual 16mm bands?

I personally don't think it's a problem but maybe going for the thicker barrel might be worth considering

I've ordered the aluminum 110cm Pathos Laser Open Pro, hopefully it is as good as I expect it to be. Still not sure what thickness thw barrel is, I couldn't find much info online.
