After months of beginner post in the Freediving Forum, this is my first question to you guys...

I was just in a shop in Genova today, and I was forced to choose between a 110 Beauchat Mundial Carbon (reduced from 170 to 100 Euro) and a Omer Excaliber Carbon (for about the same money).

The Beuchat had a cool matt finish, a better handle, adjustment for the trigger sensitivity and a nice saftey lock. The Omer had the classic woven carbon fiber finish and although it was slightly shorter that the Beuchat, it seemed fine.

Pressed to make a decision I went for the Beauchat.

Did I do the right thing? Was the price OK?

I could probably change it if I'm fast, so if anyone has any good/bad experiences with either gun then feedback would be welcome.

Ciao

Al

Good choice! is a great gun! a couple tips:

Glue the safety to the "fire" position. the safety has a bad habit of staying on Safe, and is hard to get at quick with gloves. the only real safety is slack bands.....

Retrofit a JBL rail to the tube. It will change this gun night from day. more silent and accurate.

Set the trigger dial so that the "spoke" with the hole in it is pointed up. this will make the trigger very sensitive and seems to inprove accuracy (did for me).

make sure you put 20mm rubbers on it (if they didn;t come stock). the 16mm ones are pretty wimpy.

ENJOY YOUR NEW GUN! I love mine.

Good idea on the JBL track. Will have to do that with my short Picasso.

Do you reccomend the JBL track or the Aimrite?
