hey Im planning a vacation for jan or feb im located in nj, usa so the caribbean is pretty close and affordable for me, this summer i was in the Dominican Republic and the dive shop said they can get fined for hunting, my question is where in the caribbean can i get some decent and legal spearing in?? thanks guys

I know it depends on which island you intend to visit. Some want a tag some will let you spear fish but only in the company of a local (Grenada), some ban spearfishing all together (Saba and Dominica, Tobago Cays) and some have no regualtions/resrictions (Dominican Republic...depending on the area and the corruption of who you ask!). The best thing would to do an internet search on the island. I'm pretty sure there is a wealth of info out there for ya if you know where you want to visit. Happy diving!
